Getting Schooled.

This year we entered the public school system.  What total complete MAYHEM today was, so very different than our little comfortable christian school. However, I truly believe that this is the right decision for my family.  Although I have cried many a tear over leaving Calvary, I trust that God’s plan is the right plan, even if it’s not the easiest.

Here are Tommy and Lucas going into 3rd grade and Kindergarten.  They absolutely loved their first day, and Lucas even gets to be in class with his cousin Pablo.  Not really sure life could be any better for my children, they are so blessed.

The case of the missing Chupons!

Now that Ruby is 1, she only gets her chupon (pacifier) when she sleeps. Recently, one by one the Chupon’s have been going missing, so I keep getting out new ones figuring she escaped to the toy room with them or something. That was until  last week when I was cleaning the shutters.

I had to move her crib because it runs diagonal in front of her 2 windows, I opened up the shutters and bingo, there they were, all of them!

After she wakes up from a nap, she plays with the shutters, opening them so she can see outside, well I guess she’s been putting the chupons in there for some time now!

Uh Oh! Mom found my stash.

The making of men (and a girl ;))

Last week my boys were blessed enough to attend  a basketball camp instructed by a good friend of ours  and soon to be NCAA coach! I am quite certain that they will remember that experience forever.

The family who took my boys to and from camp, loved them and watched over them were in the midst of a move of their home and a job change, yet they found the time to help us.  Words cannot express the gratitude I feel, then today the mommy (Jamie) posted photos of the camp.  Nearly brought me to tears seeing as they are moving away from us.  You see JRob (aka Jimmy) is Elias best friend.  They have had a friendship like none I have EVER seen at the young age of 3, in fact it started at 1.5 when they attended pre-school together. They were the little athletes, always bringing their balls to school and playing, shooting hoops and making goals.

We will miss them dearly.

Fat boobies

Legoland has been a regular trip this summer during camp Anji.

If you’ve never been to Legoland there is an entire area called Mini World which has models of different cities and towns throughout the world and they are complete with moving cars, people, boats, and every little detail that you’d expect to see in the cities of Boston, Las Vegas, New Orleans . . . down to a cutaway of the subway in NYC. Today while exploring NYC Melina (my Godsons sister) pointed out a model girl with FAT BOOBIES and a guy with a FAT BUTT. Unfortunately the FAT BOOBIES seemed to stick.

Meli:  Anji! Anji! look at that girl with FAT BOOBIES!
Me: Huh?
Meil: Right there beneath the megatron. See her?  A girl with FAT BOOBIES!
Lucas: WHERE WHERE Meli, show me where? (of course he was the FIRST boy to pick up on that)
Elias (while jumping out of his stroller): I wanna see the fat boobies, where are the fat boobies?!
Me:
Ok, Ok, guys.  (giggling) that’s enough probably not very appropriate.
Elias: MOMMY! You have FAT BOOBIES!
Elias, Lucas and Tommy in unison: MOMMY HAS FAT BOOBIES, MOMMY HAS FAT BOOBIES, MOMMY HAS FAT BOOBIES, MOMMY HAS FAT BOOBIES.

I felt very loved at that moment, it was really very innocent and kinda cute really.  I heart my boys.
