Boys, when observed closely are not a large leap away from wild beasts. This point is proven to me over and over by the way they eat their food, the amount of dirt under their nails or their sheer love of the fight itself. Lately it’s been Lucas and Eli engaging in the wrestling matches, because really, I think Tommy has gotten a little big to wrestle with his little brothers without totally crushing them. Lucas is a lot tougher than he may look, and he’s out to prove it. I think that’s what makes him so, well, for lack of a better word ballsy. He, with his complete being radiates the statement: “It’s not the size of the boy in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the boy.”
The dude is tough.
Then there’s Eli, Big E, The Scrapper, that boy WILL NOT BACK DOWN. He’s the kind of kid that could have a leg ripped off and still be running after his competitor!
I secretly love this about my boys. I love that they can stand up for themselves. Now, we just have to mold them to understand how and when to use all that energy!
